The Broken Mirror is a striking collaboration between Gufram and the New York-based design firm Snarkitecture (founded by Alex Mustonen and Daniel Arsham). The Blue Edition, launched as part of the Broken Series, reimagines this "architectural crack" in a vibrant, nature-inspired palette.
The "Soft/Hard" Paradox
At first glance, the mirror appears to be carved directly into a jagged, industrial concrete slab. In reality, the frame is made of soft, flexible polyurethane, hand-finished with Gufram’s signature Guflac paint. This creates an "alienating" optical effect—a portal that looks like solid stone but yields to the touch.
